Jerome E. McDonald has practiced law for over 40 years, focusing on insurance defense, personal injury, and general civil practice. As a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he exemplifies the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, and professionalism in the legal profession.
Mr. McDonald was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1980 after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law. His practice extends to the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Central Districts of Illinois, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
His distinguished service includes membership on the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee and the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases. He also serves on the Federal Rules of Evidence Committee.
Mr. McDonald represents major insurance carriers and claims management organizations, including Erie Insurance Company, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, ISBA Mutual Insurance Company, Pekin Insurance Company, Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, Shelter Insurance Company, and Tokio Marine, among others.
